Activity is an essential part of everyday life.
Providing a complete programme of activities within a care setting is often the responsibility of only one person and across the country there is very little training available so imagine the difference if whole care teams were taught the benefits of mental and physical stimulation and shown how they could contribute?
Vitalyz activity training has been especially designed to motivate, encourage and enable care team members to recognise the value and benefits of activities and to become involved in delivering a varied and sustainable programme.
Specialising in chair-based exercise, Vitalyz deliver in-house training for the care sector. Vitalyz have the UKs only one day, accredited Seated Exercise course plus an innovative range of workshops which focus on activity provision and promote independence and well-being for less able and/or senior persons who are living in or attend a variety of care settings.
The College of Occupational Therapists endorse all Vitalyz training and whilst seated physical activity is an integral part of the Vitalyz SPA workshops, the team recruited experienced professionals to share their expertise and help produce these additional titles:
Person-Centred Activities
Nintendo Wii & Communication
Dementia & Activities
Sensory Experiences
Resistance & Relaxation
Closely involved in writing the Dementia & Activities workshop, Dr Daniel Nightingale continues to associate Vitalyz to ensure their training is appropriate and relevant for those supporting people living with dementia.
