Innovative Training Courses for Activity Providers

We are now able to offer the following courses specifically designed for Activity Managers supporting adults living with dementia in a care home:
Montessori based activities to enhance the dining experience of people living with dementia: Dr Nightingale has recently completed a pilot study using Montessori principles to enhance the dining experience of people living with dementia and residing in a care home (the written article has recently been submitted to the Journal of Dementia Care for publication consideration). A 2 day workshop is now available, designed and facilitated by Dr Nightingale, for a maximum of 10 people per workshop.
Music & Reminiscence Therapy Incorporating Storytelling (MARTIS): Music is a wonderful vehicle for communication with people living with advanced dementia. A few years ago, Dr Nightingale developed this unique approach to help people put together their Life Story whilst exchanging stories and reminiscing about the past. This approach includes a fun factor and the outcomes are truly remarkable - even bringing back a spark to some people's lives! This course can accommodate up to 15 learners.
