A Clinical Hypnotherpy certification requires 300 hours of hypnosis instruction from a school approved by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners. A written exam is required, and a passing grade must be at least 80%. The hypnotherapist must also be observed with a client by another clinical hypnotherapist.
