Evidence for the All Party Political Group dementia enquiry. (February 05, 2008)
On 5th February 2008 Dr Nightingale attended Westminster as one of the witnesses at a government inquiry.
The inquiry, All Political Party Group inquiry into dementia, was chaired by
Jeremy Wright, MP, Conservative, Chair of APPG on Dementia and focused on the over-prescribing of anti psychotic medicines for people with dementia who live in care homes.
Other witnesses included Professor Clive Ballard and Cheryl Bryne whose father was treated so badly by medical and care home staff that it led to this inquiry.
